We have an old pergola that we have purchased a replacement canopy for each year. The wind tears them to pieces by the time fall comes. This canopy is made of much stronger material, and was a little bigger than the previous replacements. It also has grommets that make tying it down really easy (see the photo showing a tie down). So I decided to get this product. And was blown away by the quality of the product. It is not really a 10×10 it's more like 10× 9.4. Thats really not a big deal. I am still happy with the product. It was a 2 person job and it was very easy. Could have did it with one person it would have just taken alittle longer.
This works fine, lets some light through but keeps the sun out. Very happy with it so far.
This shade came quickly and does the job it was intended to do, provides shade at a fraction of the cost of a replacement canopy from the company my pergola came from or any off-brand I found. It is a mesh-type material, not cloth, more of a plastic similar to what you find on a lawn chair. It does leak when it rains so it doesn’t provide waterproofing in rainy conditions but it does keep the sun out! It does fit and looks nice. Decent quality. I can't give it 5 stars because it blocks zero of the Florida sun. Still going to have to find something else.
I just got this a week ago to replace the one that had been up for years and was shredding. So far I am impressed by the fabric & the poles. I am gonna put it up this weekend so I will report back with more after that... :-)
Right after cover was put on, there was a wind and rain storm. Right size for our use. I thought I read it was waterproof, but it isn’t. Not a problem for us.
Let there be shade! This is a light weight and durable canopy. The material used for this canopy is tough! The attachment points are reinforced so no worry of tearing. For our installation it was easy. Easy to put up and take down. The color is even across the whole canopy. All the seams are flawless, so impressed of the quality of assembly. Easy way to add a large shaded outdoor area.
It did take some time to set up, we read the instructions a few times and followed them. The pergola looks great and works for us exactly as needed. It is lightweight so we screwed the legs into patio squares (as it was set up on the grass). It does not move at all in the wind but if I lean on it, it will move. Maybe I should have filled part of the legs with rocks? No matter, we love it!!!
This shade cover came exactly as pictured and with all the parts described. The shade cloth feels sturdy so I believe it should be durable. The weights rod is a nice feature to help hold the shade in place. It was easy to install and looks good. Would recommend.
