I bought this as new/used. It came in original box and was like brand new. Saved me $10. I love it. It makes the perfect flat base to put sand bags on top to hold the base in place. You can fill with water or sand, but to me it is less mess and work to place sand bags on top.

Using these to hold down a 10' umbrella. The plastic is quite thick and can be filled with sand or water to add weight. I don't know how much each 1 weighs when I filled them with water, but I would have to guess close to 50lb per corner.

The base is really big but it will hold my umbrella with the two screw knobs. I will fill it with sand and it will never move.
Fit our table perfectly
We bought this in the early spring , and the season is almost over, and it is holding up very nicely so far.The main thing you need with an umbrella of this size, is a very sturdy base.. We bought our base here on Amazon, and added a whole box of kitty litter inside it for weight, and that umbrella never moves , even on the windiest of days.. Very nice quality material , and the up and down handle works well, as well as the tilting option... No complaints whatsoever.
